Chrysanthemums are kind of a “love ‘em or leave ‘em” flower… they come in infinite varieties, colors and sizes, and are well-known for being a hardy Fall flower that can survive even the first signs of Winter’s frost. However, they don’t always leave us raptured by their beauty. Which is where I am fascinated that Chrysanthemums have been a flower that has been drawn throughout history and used as an icon in art, fabrics, ceramics, and even politics.

Even today, the stylized, graphic image of the Chrysanthemum endures long after the flowers have wilted.
