Hi ladies!
It’s been a busy few days of swatching, finessing and programming here at Aromaleigh… but finally… I’ve got the Gothic Lolita Eye Collection available for your feisty little fingers to start purchasing!
I am presently busy in my favorite chair at Starbucks with a Vanilla Latte working on programming the Express Purchase area. Once this is complete, then you will see the LITTLE swatches in the “Color Description” area. But for now, you can read the descriptions of the colors and toggle to the chart. I was going to wait for absolute 100% completion, but I knew that some of you just couldn’t take it anymore… so here you go!!!
Between today and tomorrow, you’ll see the Express Purchase area grow with swatches, and you’ll be able to click on those and see super-sized versions of the colors and add individual shades to your wish-lists. So enough of my babbling, I’ve got my work cut out for me! (And you know that I’m running full speed ahead when I leave work to GET work done!
)
Enjoy this collection… I love these mysterious, complex, pearly colors. They are so just plain pretty!!
And check out my favorite blog stop for all things gothic and lolita, from tea cups to tiaras… La Carmina.
xoxo

UPDATE: Miss K is on fire on the keyboard today and as such all Express Purchase items are now added and super size swatches are available, and the Color Description chart is complete. What on earth did they put in my latte???
Shame on you, Maxim Magazine… April 16, 2008

I’m pretty excited for the release of the new Sex and the City movie… which will (hopefully) hit a theatre near me on May 30th. Yes, I own the box set of the entire HBO series. Yes, I actually think I shed a tear on the night of the last episode… I’d spent years as a single career girl of comparable age “growing” up beside this show and watching it every week. I’d watch it with my friends, I’d watch it alone… I’d watch it with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s or a pizza. Heck, Miranda and I were even pregnant at the same time!
Which brings me to something that just irked me. Did you know that Maxim Magazine actually had a “poll” in which they listed their picks for the world’s UN-sexiest women? Now yes, Maxim is a “Men’s” magazine and all that… but seriously… shame on them. Not just for choosing Sarah Jessica Parker as their #1 choice for the world’s most UN-sexy woman, but for even having a poll that feels the need to number and list women as “UN-SEXY” in the first place, while at the same time providing cruel commentary.
The list included Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears and Sandra Oh– with Sarah Jessica Parker winning the title of “Unsexiest Woman Alive” (please note, that “unsexiest” is not even a word!). Just to stick the knife in a little deeper, Maxim added, “How the hell did this Barbaro-faced broad manage to be the least sexy woman in a group of very unsexy women and still star on a show with ’sex’ in the title?” Ouch.
Sarah Jessica Parker… how are you sexy? Let us count the myriad of ways.
I’ve got a lot on my mind today… April 16, 2008
