This week marks a wonderful new upgrade for our customers at Aromaleigh! I am thrilled to announce several new shopper-friendly features that are all designed to save you lots of time, make your shopping experience more convenient and most importantly, put you in control of your very own aromaleigh.com account!!! YAY! :)

For a long time now, we have been waiting for this type of functionality to be available with our functionality-filled yahoo store. We’ve been with yahoo store for nine of our ten years, and it has been a wonderful experience for us. I completely manage most aspects of our store and function as webmistress except when it gets into nitty gritty things like programming. I can make something look pretty, but I can’t program it to work. And creating functionality such as customer accounts, wish lists, customer login and order history is now something that Aromaleigh.com has working, I am most proud and excited to report!!!

Here’s the scoop.

Creating your account with Aromaleigh will allow you to save your billing and shipping addresses and email address so that you don’t need to type them in each time you visit the site. We cannot, however save sensitive information such as your credit card number. I know a lot of sites do have this, but we are not able to offer this, I believe it has to do with the terms of service of yahoo store and yahoo shopping.

The most fantastic feature is that you can now create a Wish List and add items that you are interested in to the Wish List part of your account. When you are ready to purchase those items, you simply click the “add to cart” button, and the item is moved to your cart.

Here’s what an item page now looks like with the new button set-up.

Once you’re logged in, you’ll know for sure of it because in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see that instead of “my account”, it will say “Welcome *insert your name”. Any time you want to access your account, no matter where you are on the website… just click on your name. It’s a hotlink to your account, which takes you to where your wishlist, and your previously ordered items and previously placed orders reside!

Regarding previously placed orders… this new system only keeps that information based on when you created the account. So it won’t go back and gather all of your old orders and put them into the system (nor can I feed that information into it, either). You can use the “Previously Ordered Items” section to place reorders for items that you use reorder often… like foundation powders or certain samples. The system starts keeping track of your orders and data based on the date on which you created the account. So we’re all starting new with this.

Here’s a tip about the wishlist and adding and viewing colors in your wishlist. If you want to view specific color swatches in your wishlist, you’ll need to add those specific color items from the Express Purchase page. Here’s an example of what your wishlist will look like if you add an item from, for example, the main page of the Pure Eyes Lustre… or if you add a specific color from the Express Purchase page of one of the Pure Eyes Lustre colors. I know lots of you are going to want to get very specific with your wishlists and have them carefully catalogued. So this will be helpful up front. Please note I do not have Express Purchase pages made for all products. I would like to, and this is on my list of things to do… but alas, I do not. I will as always work my hardest to get these things completed as long as it does not interfere with order processing and inventory replenishment.

I think that’s about it! I hope that you all enjoy the wishlist, my account, previously ordered items and order history features. These are things that I have been hoping to bring you for a long, long time and I am so thrilled that the site now has this functionality. It really is the frosting on the cake… now I’ve got to get to work on the rest of the decorations…

So go ahead, create your accounts and have a great time creating your wishlists!

Please feel free to post any questions, if I cannot answer them I will pass them on to my programmers, and hopefully get a response ASAP.

xoxo
