Danger: Yellow Eyeshadow Ahead!

Shockingly bright hues of yellow have dominated this season– on the runway, in fashion magazines and in saves here on Stylehive. We just can’t seem to get enough of this basic, cheerful color, and it’s even shown up in one of the most intimidating places for it to be worn… on the eyes.

Most women have never worn yellow eyeshadow and they possibly never will. Yellow is the color of daffodils, buttercups, primroses, canaries and butterflies. It also has the distinction of being the color of taxi cabs, school buses, raincoats, bumble bees and “danger” signs. For those of you willing to venture into bolder, slightly more treacherous territory… a sunny outlook on the eyes can brighten your baby blues, give you a gilded glow or just make a distinct statement!

Check out my Guest Blog and leave a comment if you have a chance. Will you try yellow eyeshadow? (Please keep your comments general and don’t mention Aromaleigh or Aromaleigh products, thanks!)

Here’s some Aromaleigh yellows to try if you decide to go yellow!!! I did wear a lot of yellow eyeshadow within the last 6 months… with my BatGirl costume at halloween! I’ve yet to try it for everyday. Maybe with some of my new Spring frocks… we shall see.

(I don’t have individual swatches made for the Elemental Lustres yet, but be sure to check out Gleam, Ego and Mutiny!!!)

Where’s Flaxen on that list? That’s a wonderful creamy yellow! I use Flaxen several times per week as a neutral brightening lid color (often with latte in the crease and vee) OK. So it’s probably not registered as “color” by people who see me b/c it’s such a blend-into-your skin kind of color — which color-shy people like myself are so fond of.

I also like Brocade as an everyday shadow — very pretty with wonderful irridescence…

Maybe this will be the season I’ll venture into brighter colors since I’m not allowed to wear them at my new job. The off-days are screaming for rebellion…

Yellow eyeshadows are one of, if not THE, favorite color of eyeshadow for me. You can pair it with anything! Favorites are Sunshine and Nico :)

Hi ladies, thanks for all of the comments on my article at StyleHive… I really appreciate it!

Just one thing to keep in mind though, the readers at StyleHive probably are getting a little confused at all of the mention of Aromaleigh colors and products. It’s totally cool to mention Aromaleigh colors and products here and on our forum, but at StyleHive, can we keep things on the down-low? Comments on articles are awesome, but if we could keep mention of Aromaleigh products out of the comments, I’d really appreciate it- I feel really uncomfortable with the overwhelming mention of Aromaleigh product comments that has been made, I’m afraid it’s going to look like I purposefully sent you all there to push my products, which is NOT AT ALL the case. When I said “leave me a comment”, “cool article”, “yes, I’ll try it”… was definitely what I was leaning for, that’s all.

Thanks so much! I don’t want to send the wrong messages.
