Hi ladies!

Evey from Evey Clothing sent me some more shots from her recent clothing line launch and fashion show, and these images are just adorable! Absolute fantasy and demure girlishness. And being a lover of the ballet, I simply adore the use of the tutu… I LOVE tulle.

I simply have to share them. It looks like all of the models had a great time… and their makeup looks fun and vibrant!!! Thanks so much Evey for sharing these!

Such cool pix, Kristen! Wish I could pull off a look like these gals. I guess I’m too traditional. I’d have no where to wear clothes like that.

Especially love the makeup of the first and last girls.

Loida, most runway shows showcase more fantastical looks than the designer offers in the regular line and everything is much more over the top except with really mainstream designers, I’ve found. Evey’s boutique line is still really fun but much more “everyday”. Another good comparison would be looking at Betsey Johnson’s latest runway show at Style.com and then looking at her website at Betseyjohnson.com SO very different! I wish I could get some of the runway stuff!!!

I love this type of clothing, but I’m far too old to be running around in it anymore!!! But the models look great, especially their fantastic makeup!!

I’ll probably keep my tutus at the barre, but I love the colored lace trimmed tops (those will be great with jeans and cute black pants all summer long!) and they’re simple so you can wear fun necklaces with them like the models are. I love the photos by Fingers Crossed and the girls all look great, the color combos are awesome for each girl!

I know the way they do stuff at the big fashion shows are over the top…

These girls above are definitely cute, but the fashion is kinda young and Cyndi Lauper-ish (from the ’80’s). But I could see breaking it up (leaving tutu’s behind) and toning a few things down here and there. I feel young for my 42 years, but not that young for the styles above. I’ll have to check out Evey’s website, Kristen… thanks for the tip.

I just love the makeup for the first model. GORGEOUS!

Do you have any idea what makeup colors the models are wearing, Kristen. I know they’re wearing AL. Super cool!

What fun! I love the playfulness of both the fashion and the models! So girly, but a bit edgey, too.

I don’t know the exact colors they are wearing, as I sent a lot of shades- mostly Rocks! and Lolita colors though…

I just want everyone to know though, I post a variety of things because Aromaleigh has a really, really broad demographic age group. I know that not everything I post may interest all aspects of that group because it is so wide, and I also know that not everything is for everyone.

Sometimes I post things that I like just because this blog is kind of an extension of me, so my interests and personality are going to come through- kind of hard to avoid.

But I don’t want anyone to feel like I’m trying to influence them to look or dress or do their makeup a certain way. In the vast majority of cases, I’m just sharing photos or trends, or aromaleigh-related news.

The reason I posted these pics was because the girls were wearing Aromaleigh makeup and I wanted to share that… it was fun and cool that we were able to sponsor Evey’s show. I don’t expect all of you to start wearing tutus or anything!

    Hope this all makes sense.

    Happy Valentine’s Day ladies!

    xoxo

Oh how lovely! Being an ex-ballerina, I share your love for the abundance of tulle & the tutu-inspired looks here, Miss K! The models look great in their Aromaleigh! Now I’m jonesing for one of those lace-trimmed tanks. Thanks for sharing these & Happy Valentine’s Day! :)

These looks are so cute! My thought is that most runway looks are not meant for we more mainstream consumers, but are meant more to inspire us to look at new color combos, accessory ideas, etc.. At my age (45-yikes!) these lace trimmed tops are probably too youthful to be worn on their own… But top one with a blazer over a good pair of jeans, add a funky accessory, maybe a satin bow pin to mimic the bows in the models’ hair – now that’s an easy way to incorporate this style into a more classic outfit!

Great pics…would there be any chance of talking to the makeup artist(s) to find out more about the colors and techniques used for each look?
