Marvel Mini Week 2 Update & Photos (with and without makeup)
As promised, I’ve got photos for my mid-way Marvel Mini Red review. I’m halfway through my month-long treatment and I’m really thrilled with the results. I think the photos speak for themselves from my first post to this one. I’m feeling a lot more confident now and am posting full-face images and also subjected myself to FLASH photography so you can see every single nook, cranny, speck and dot. Yikes. I usually take my photos in natural light, but it was so dark and rainy here on this Saturday morning that it was impossible. So you got flash, girls.
I did try to get a natural light photo for this first one, though- but it’s slightly out of focus because I had to compensate for exposure due to the weather. After this, I turned on the fill flash.
It’s Saturday AM, and I’ve been up for about an hour. I got about 6 hours sleep and boy, can I feel it. I need a week of just sleep!
My camera only works for portraits in macro/closeup mode, so no way to get around what the camera lens does perspective-wise. If anyone has a camera that doesn’t do this, please let me know. I am IN the market for a new one!
I am wearing lipbalm, but it’s clear.
OK, so after the torture of photographing myself again with a bare face, I went and put on my makeup…
Here’s my basic look for today, I didn’t do anything fancy. Most days I don’t, because I’m just rushing to start my day and I don’t have time to get very detailed. I do my makeup very fast, in about 7-8 minutes, maybe less.
My foundation is Voile 1WL applied with flocked sponge. concealer under eyes is cream concealer, medium-beige (new color).
On my eyes I did a simple look that I do most days. white wedding all-over, and entangle on my lids. smudge-lined with spark elemental lustres.
Cherry bark lipliner and lollypop on my lips.
Oh, and my cheeks is Nectar Pure Rouge.

I think you’ve sold me on this unit, Kristen. But now I have to decide between the red one or the green one.
I do see a difference between your first naked face pictures and these up above. Less red around the nose is the first thing I noticed.
And the glam pictures are beautiful! Thanks for being brave.
You look amazing in the bare-faced pics! Redness has definitely faded. My favorite pic is the first mu pic though, very mischievous look in your eyes there.
Btw have you seen this laser hair brush thing?

I have no idea if it’s the same technology as the marvel-mini, but the pics remind me of it. It’s pricey though.
This looks like a must have item. I was thinking of getting lasered for rosacea/redness, but this now looks like it would be a better alternative. Aside from your reduction in redness, the firming is visible at the cheek.
Loida, I’ve been looking at traffic signal lights and imagining pressing my face up against it (red / green/ amber) – those things are made of LED lights aren’t they?
Thanks ladies! It was a rainy Saturday, so I made time to be brave yet again and get the photos. It IS getting easier, but still never easy to put your face out there sans makeup! I never leave the house with it! I just feel, well- naked!
And I still am working on a new camera- this one does a lot of weird perspective things to my nose in the macro mode (which is the only one that works for portraits).
2 more weeks to go, I hope I see more results, but I AM really happy and so not telling my age!!!
xoxo
